Why I built TermSniper

I kept seeing the same pattern:

Website authority was high
Content was high quality
Keywords were fine
Still no rankings!

The problem: a disconnect with search intent. We were not understanding what the searcher really wanted when they search.

To figure that out, I had to manually compare top-ranking pages again and again, just to see which wording and page structure kept coming back. That worked, but it took me way too much time.

So I built TermSniper 🙂

How is Termsniper different from other SEO tools?

TermSniper boasts the ability to identify both the primary and secondary intent behind a search term. In addition, it identifies "powerful intent words" (entities) that enhance your primary keyword. Unlike long-tail keywords or other modifiers, these entities are part of the terminology associated with your main keyword, reflecting the specific intent of a searcher. You could interpret them as the most powerful LSI keywords for one specific search term. While there are tools that generate LSI keywords, no other tool knows which of these entities are the most potent.

Can you give an example of search intent discovery?

For instance, let's take the search term 'car insurance'. In this case TermSniper identifies the primary intent: getting an online quote for a car insurance. And, a secondary intent: finding discounts and savings on car insurance premiums. Then it finds the following entities that will semantically enhance your article: quote, free, get, save, see, and how. From this, we can infer that a searcher might be looking for "how to get a free car insurance quote and save." Additionally, TermSniper suggests three (meta) titles and a first paragraph to help you get started easily.

How does matching the search intent boost ranking?

Search engines, such as Google, assess both positive and negative signals when ranking webpages (Rank Brain vs. Spam Brain). Matching the searcher's intent and using the right terminology is vital to positively influence the algorithms of their transformer models. Incorporating the right page structure, subtopics and individual entities sends a positive signal to the AI powering these search engines, enhancing your chances of achieving a higher ranking.

How do I integrate search intent to my content?

When you're logged in, you'll find an explanatory video highlighting the best way to use search intent in your content. The video also provides a practical example of how to integrate the right terminology into existing content. It starts by explaining the primary and secondary intent, followed by guidance on the page structure you should create and the terminology to include above the fold of your webpage.

What type of website generates the best results?

Your website should be over a year old, have a few backlinks, and rank on at least the second page of Google for some search terms. This reflects the fact that your website has gained some online authority and is susceptible to on-page changes. TermSniper works exceptionally well on existing pages that linger beyond the first page of Google. It also performs well on top 10 positions when applied with precision. That said, new content can also reach the first few pages of Google more quickly when using TermSniper.

In general, all analyses are returned within 30 seconds. Sometimes an individual analysis can take longer when an extraordinary amount of users are active at once. We are monitoring the response times closely.
